Working hard and hardly working. [22 Apr 2008|03:56am]
It's 11pm. I have a paper due. The paper was assigned a little over a month ago and I have barely started it. Maybe if I can stay up all night I'll be able to finish and head to drawing class at 8 tomorrow morning, but probably not. Which sucks because I really enjoy my drawing class.

I can't focus on this paper. I've been skimming wikipedia and youtube all day. Sparking up my brain with new little ideas for projects. Like a minicomic. About robots and bees. But I can not begin any of those till I finish this lousy report on a Pixar animated short. Strengths and weaknesses? No thank you. I judge people, not things sir. Things don't need to validate their existence to me. It is late, and I can't stop thinking about how I was the only person in my high school to think Kris Boy was a sexual god and that only the most profound thoughts can enter the mind after midnight (When sober). I am a procrastination fiend. I am already watching John Stewart's interview with Barrak Obama for the second time.

I have written a little more. I am lying. No I haven't. It is now 12:24am. Been reading about the new Hellboy movie on Wikipedia. Praying for an end to my lazy suffering. My greatest regret is never being a part of a subculture. 1:37am now. Looking through old Dr. Strange comics, including one that is very french, and very gay. I have come a little further in my paper. I think I have a full paragraph now. I wonder if anyone will present a report on Steamboat Willie. Wouldn't that be grand? I have never been this tired before. I wonder what I'll do when this paper is over. Maybe a beer. Maybe an enema.

Okay, I am done. It's a page short but I can still be proud of it. It's 3:57am. Neet. My butt hurts.

Argument's Sake. [02 Apr 2008|09:56pm]
[ music | "Everybody Hurts" - Amanda Palmer ]

Tonight, Lewis Black's Root of All Evil pitted Youtube against Pornography, with Patton Oswalt, star of the Disney-Pixar animated film, Ratatouille, for Pornography, against Youtube. Yet, nobody filed this into evidence...

PATTON OSWALT FULL FRONTAL NUDITY.

In case anyone is wondering my point, I am pro-youtube, pro-patton oswalt and pro-full frontal nudity. Goodnight, and good-luck.

Its taking Matt a while to complete the frosting of the first mini-web-film-cube-two-hypercube. I blame the pepsi generation.

Taboo Meats [03 Feb 2008|01:50pm]
It's almost done! On Monday, we'll be shooting the last part, the live part, of Matt's television project. I've seen the edited project so-far; It is honestly the most psychotic thing I have seen in my life. Here is the theme:

My head is a formless mass, undulating in the sea of forever.

Home is Where The Plague is [23 Dec 2007|03:24pm]
The Holiday season is celebrated in many different ways. For example, Christmas, the most reviered of all christian holidays, is celebrated by an obese patriarch bringing children gifts under the shadow of nightfall. This is connected to the birth of a tiny baby who would grow up into a man that would die an obscenely horrible death. Over two-thousand years ago, December twenty-fifth was the "Festival of the Birth of the Unconquered Sun" or "Sol Invictus", the Roman celebration of the winter solstice. While Roman abandoned it's paganistic traditions, with the coming of christianity, the celebration became associated with Jesus Christ. Human beings cling to their reasons to party with the bite of a snapping turtle. Hanukkah is the Jewish celebration of lights, as signifying God's act of providing for those in need. Kwanzaa is an African-American celebration created by Maulana Karenga that lasts from the day after Christmas until New Year's Day. I celebrate the end of a year by reflecting on the people and objects I love. I present them here to you in list form.

1.) Suffering of the Innocent
2.) Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight

Joss Whedon brings the pain with a story of Buffy fighting the United states government, while simultaneously making everyone's most hated character a literal giant. Also mostly everyone is a lesbian now.

3.) Pictures of Bill and Hilary Clinton as hippies.

Photobucket

Things like this make me happy for 2008. I'm not sure who I am pulling for yet because I'll be happier as long as we don't elect someone who feels the need to be placed in charge of every vagina in North America.

4.) Sylvanas Windrunner

Glory for Sylvanas.

5.) Zombies

I suspect the subtle evolution of cultures and traditions will eventually lead christmas to be, in the distant future, about worshiping/murdering our zombie overlords.I really do love zombie mythos, zombie movies, zombie-anything. They are something so scary, and everyone has a strong concept of what they are, even though they are completely fictional; a dark combination of predator and disease, and like all humans I am just thirsty for something new to be afraid of.

Truth: The Earth Hates Us [05 Dec 2007|12:44pm]
[ mood | lockjaw ]
[ music | "Memphis Blues, Revisited" - Cat Power ]

The Old Gods of water and snow want to take back their twisted world. Our tiny lives will be forfeit.

The snow here is crushing my spirit. It seems to have been falling for nearly twenty hours and my journey to class today was not unlike being pressed through a fine-mesh screen. The snowplows have abandoned us, and the only thing that keeps us warm are the lies we tell ourselves.

Also, i have been playing a lot of World of Warcraft the past week. The colors are bright and deliscious, but the morons who know nothing of basic Prussian military formations are tiresome, to say the very leist.

I killed a ducky.

Belle de jour. A film by Luis Buñuel

Music video by Garbage: "Tell me where it Hurts"

About six years ago Garbage was my favorite band. They sounded like some great, dark and kinky house-music. Yesterday I was getting caught up with them about the same time Matt was sending me Bunuel and Salvadore Dali clips from youtube. The similarites caught my eye and I looked it up on Wikipedia. Yeah, it was intentional.

Step 1: Put your playlist on random.
Step 2: Post the first line(s) from the first 30 10 songs that play. (Note out name of song if in the first few lines)
Step 3: You guys guess what songs they are. First guesses for each song get links to their journal.

1.) I've been working on a piece that speaks of sex and desperation. I've been screwing on tracks from abandoned train stations.
2.) It's a god-awful small afair to the girl with the mousey hair, but her Mommy is yelling 'No' and her Daddy has told her to go.
3.) _______ Simpson, where has your love gone? It's not in your music, no. You need a vacation to wake up the cavemen, and take them to Mexico.
4.) I know what I know, I know on the car ride down, I hear it in my hairy lows.
5.) He scrapes the dirt from his nails with a stick. He makes a big pile in a pail on the sink. Oh, who was he? I'll never tell. He's not got a thing left to sell. Remnants of Percy Bass by Rasputina. [info]pawru
6.) Hey man, I'm making moves and I'm so much stronger than you. I am so much stronger, I am so much stronger.
7.) Once there was a man who had a little too much time on his hands, he never stopped to think about getting older. And when his life came to an end, he tried to grasp for his last friend, He thought he could wish himself health on a four-leaf clover. Return to Oz by Scissor Sisters. [info]pawru
8.) We are the _____ _________, we are the _____ _________, hunting with twigs and branches. Oh oooh ooohohooh!

I may have my job back at subway, and I need money bad. I have a lot of creative projects going on right now, which is great and I shaved of most of my hair, I would have gotten rid of it all but Matt needs me to play the little boy in the video project he and Mandy cooked up.

Two shirts right now. Please buy some. College is expensive. (I made a neat black design but I need to re-do it in photoshop once it comes in the mail.)

click here to buy.click here to buy.

EDIT: BEWARE THE INTERNET. Look out for Harry potter spoilers for the next few days, real or not, seems a copy leaked onto the web and people are even hiding major plot points in seemingly innocent youtube videos.

EDIT AGAIN: There are now Black Tees in the mushroomy shop. DAAAARK MUSHROOMS!

Daleks have no sense of elegance. [11 Jul 2007|04:09pm]
[ music | "The Pruning" - Rasputina ]

Series three of Doctor Who was, first and foremost, British. I'll never be able to look at angel-statues or rhino-people the same way. Doctor who also taught me about things like heat death, revelation shots, and poetic tragedy. Truly satisfying television like this is something to be thankful for; but I would have ended the season like this:

Dalek Caan in a smoking jacket. Never saw it coming.

Last night, Matt and I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I was having a great time. I read the book and everything beforehand. Then came the scene in which Helena Bonham Carter's character escapes from the big prism in the sea. I sunk into my chair with my hands over my mouth. I just started to shake and when I looked into her eyes I thought I was losing my mind. Pure terror. Good job Helena.

Also, I opened a little shop to help with some college funds. Want a shirt?

She was a man with herpes. [26 Jun 2007|10:33am]
Online Dating

I'm such a puss.

What I'm listening to.
Adam Green - I wanna die
Rasputina - 1816, the year without a summer
Amy Winehouse - I told you I was trouble
Rogue Traders - Voodoo child
The Cliks - Oh yeah
Daft Punk - Harder better faster stronger
Patti Smith - Smells like teen spirit

Later today I had a heated argument with a friend who said Tim Burton was over-rated. If anything he is still under-rated. No one appreciates The Nightmare Before Christmas the way I do. Then I broke out in a terrible rash. It's everywhere and I think I'm going to die.
